How It Started…

Many years ago, an idea, inspired by her grandmother, was nurtured in the mind of a little girl. That idea was to teach Yoruba language to a global audience and establish Yoruba language schools all over the world. Though she studied Yoruba language by chance at her undergraduate level, she intentionally studied the same course at masters level, yet the idea she had as a child remained a day dream until December 2018 when she found an opportunity to teach children who were her neighbors at that time how to speak Yoruba language.

Beginning with that experience, Akonilede Yoruba was established and it became registered in Nigeria by the year 2019,  since then the business has grown with a staff strength of 19 and has taught hundreds of students ranging from children to adults all across the globe. The business also became registered in the United States of America in 2021 and Canada in 2024 giving her leverage to make her vision become a reality.
